This palace-like theatre, which resides in the heart of Castro and holds that big famous "Castro" sign, hosts movies and film festivals that celebrate quirky, indie, LGBT and multicultural cinema. Often, cast members or other icons take part in the screenings.

There's also a giant "Mighty Wurlitzer" pipe organ that plays before events.
